You don’t get paid for spending time at the office. Your presence means nothing if you’re not delivering value.

It’s easy to measure how much time you put in. But that metric is meaningless. Being productive means getting more stuff done in less time. The people who constantly overwork themselves are not heroes. They are usually the ones that are least productive, not being able to get things done today because they didn’t sleep well last night.

Here are some questions for you:
1. Is tomorrow going to be better because of something you created today?
2. Are you evaluating people based on the things they create, or how long they work?
